We've got a peace of a very pleasant news for you. From this moment those customers who couldn't update their boxs because of closed port 9999 (which some of the internet providers closed), now can easily do it using one usefull utility - "USB over Network".
I don't think that this will be very complicated for you to install this utility, but still I will help you.
First of all you should install programm "USB over Network Server" on PC to wich the Multi-box is connected and "USB over Network Client" on any other PC.
Start installation file. You will see next:
Press "Yes".
Press "Next".
Then put a tick near "I accept all the terms of the preceding license agreement" and press "Next".
After that choose destination folder and press "Next".
Then you may choose where do you want shortcats to be created and again press "Next".
Next step - choose license key have - this must "trial version" like on the picture and press "Next".
Well, everything is ready - press "Install".
When installation is complete programm will ask you to restart PC - please do it - choose "Yes, restart my computer" and press "Finish".
After rebooting programm will start automatically and you will see this
and again you should press "Continue with trial version".
In the next window you should press "No".
Now the programm is ready to work. Connect your Multi-box to PC. In the window of utility you will see next
Choose Multi-box USB device. Click it with right button of the mouse. And choose "Share".
Specify unique description of shared USB device (if necessary) and click OK.
Now USB device is shared and ready for use by "USB over Network Client".
Second part of this operation will be installation of "USB over Network Client" utility. This must be some other PC where the port 9999 is opened and update is 100% possible, because this machine will be updater of your Multi-box. This may be even some PC connected to the internet in another country. So if necessary you may ask your friend or even me. Press "Yes".
Press "Next".
Then put a tick near "I accept all the terms of the preceding license agreement" and press "Next".
After that choose destination folder and press "Next".
Then you may choose where do you want shortcats to be created and again press "Next".
Next step - choose license key have - this must "trial version" like on the picture and press "Next".
Well, everything is ready - press "Install".
Now you may start the software - put a tick near "Launch program" and press "Finish".
In the next window you should press "No"
Now we are getting started with this software. Click right button on "My computer" and choose "Add".
Next step is to enter IP adress of the server where the Multi-box is installed. Then press "Next"
Programm must find Multi-box USB device like on the picture. Choose it and press "Finish"
Click right button on the Multi-box USB device and choose "Connect".
Multi-box is ready to work. The only thing left to do is just to install drivers and update the box the same way you did it before. By the way I advise you to remove tick near "Automatic update" in our software and update your box only when it's necessary for you.
